From scoping call to signed memorandum

This page maps how audits for fintech operators typically run with Clearwater Risk Review—so compliance and product leads know what to prepare before fieldwork begins.

Scoping

Thirty to forty-five minutes on licence type, rails, third parties, and whether findings will be shared externally.

Proposal

Fixed fee, sample plan, and calendar. Deposit invoice when the window is reserved.

Fieldwork

Evidence collection, walkthroughs with owners, and stratified sampling of files and alerts.

Close-out

Draft review with your team, final memorandum, and optional board briefing.

What we ask you to prepare

  • Current AML and operational risk policies with approval dates
  • Product map showing money in, money out, and exception paths
  • Organisational chart naming first- and second-line owners
  • Incident and complaint log for the prior twelve months
  • A liaison empowered to request vendor exports within five days

Missing items do not cancel the engagement; they widen the findings list and may extend the calendar.
