Cookies policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones Clearwater Risk Review uses, and how you can accept or reject optional cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences or understand aggregate usage. Related storage such as localStorage may be used for the same purposes.
How we use cookies
Essential cookies and localStorage entries remember your cookie choice and keep basic site functions working. Optional analytics cookies help us see which Field Notes articles are read. Rejecting optional cookies does not block access to pages, forms, or content.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| clearwater_risk_review_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject preference for optional cookies | 1 year (localStorage) | Clearwater Risk Review |
| crr_session | Maintains basic load balancing / session continuity on the host | Session | Hosting provider |
| _crr_analytics | Optional aggregate page-view measurement for Field Notes | 6 months | Clearwater Risk Review (only if accepted) |
Managing cookies
Use the banner’s Accept or Reject buttons on your first visit. You can clear site data in your browser settings to see the banner again. Browser controls can also block cookies entirely; essential storage for consent may then be unavailable and the banner may reappear.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts from Google Fonts may cause your browser to request resources from Google’s domains. We do not use advertising cookies. If future embeds introduce third-party cookies, this table will be updated before activation.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics cookies has no effect on requesting a scoping call or reading engagement pages. Blocking all cookies may reset your consent choice each visit but will not remove public content.
